Australian degrees are recognized by the Association of Indian Universities for government employment and further education in Indian universities.
While most universities have their main intake in July, Australian universities have their main intake in February, March and October. There is a major vacation period between November and February.
WHO IS ELIGIBLE?
Like other foreign institutions, Australian colleges and universities require IELTS scores for their diploma and degree programs. In addition, students are supposed to get their original educational background verified by the recognized authorities.
WHAT FUNDS ARE NEEDED?
There are three costs to take into account.
A) COST OF EDUCATION
The price varies according to each college/university and location. Below is an estimated value of certain programs, in Australian Dollars.
Diploma : 7,000 – 14,000
Bachelors Degree : 15,000 – 18,000
Masters degree : 11,000 – 22,000
B) COST OF LIVING
Our respected students should know that Australia offers them a number of options, varying from on-campus to off-campus places such as hostels, rented housing, homestay, etc. As with the cost of education, the cost of living can vary from city to city. Students are required to have AUD$18,610 per annum according to the official website of the Australian High Commission. This amount is used to cover the rent, food, clothing, transportation and anything else necessary.
C) FINANCIAL PROOF FOR VISA
A proof funding for a student visa is required, with the costs being as follows:
1 year student visa – AUD$ 32,000.00
2 year student visa – AUD$ 60,000.00
3 year student visa – AUD$ 74,000.00

WORKING IN AUSTRALIA
Australian Visa grant allows students to work for up to 40 hours a week. A student must pay AUD$ 535 for the Student and Work Permit. An exception to the rule is made during semester breaks, when students have no restrictions on work hours. Students must also apply for an Australian Tax File Number before they can earn their payments.
You are required to start the visa formalities as soon as you get admitted to the college/university of choice.
In order to get a Student Visa, you must satisfy the norms of the Visa requirements. Your Student Visa will list the requirements that apply specifically to you. Failure to comply with your Visa conditions will result in the cancellation of your Visa. There is an application charge of AUD$ 535 for most Visa applications. Exceptions to the rule are made in case of secondary exchange students and students sponsored under Commonwealth approved programs.
Extra expenses may be required for the costs of your medical examinations, police checks and translation of your documents to English (if required).
