WHO IS ELIGIBLE?

Singapore’s colleges and universities require students to have completed 12 years of general education in their home country before considering them for admission for undergraduate studies. International students can apply for Private Education Organizations to obtain courses from certificate to postgraduate levels. Most of Singaporean institutions do not require students to have passed the IELTS and TOEFL, making admission much easier than for other countries.

  1. A) COST OF EDUCATION

Costs may vary depending on the institution of choice. The costs below should only be used as a guide. 
The average tuition fee for different programs (SGN $ per annum ) are:
Diploma : 4,500 – 8,000 
Bachelors Degree : 6,000 – 8,000 
Masters degree : 12,000 – 32,000 

  1. B) COST OF LIVING

Singapore provides high quality of life for affordable monthly prices. Food can cost around SGN$225-$400 and will be served through the university’s canteen and food centers. Accommodation can be around SGN$ 225-400. Local transport services can go for around SGN$100-150. Optional services such as toiletries, laundry and recreation may require extra costs of S$300-S$500.

 

  1. C) FINANCIAL PROOF FOR VISA

The proof of funding required for a student visa is SGN $15000-18000 (approximately INR7.00 LAKHS ? 8.00 LAKHS per year). Some institutions offer scholarships and awards to students based on their merits. There is a lot of competition over obtaining a scholarship in Singapore.

VISA OBTAINMENT

Obtaining the Student Visa requres the unconditional offer letter provided by the university or college you wish to join in Singapore. You must also provide proof of funds for covering living expenses and course fees.

Once you are accepted, you can easily apply for a “Student Pass”. The current fee for a Singapore visa is $30 per issue with no additional processing fee; Regardless of the outcome of the application, this fee is Non-refundable.
